NHI and the University of Denver host the Rocky Mountain CWS

Presenting the Rocky Mountain CWS

June 26th - 30th, 2023

Through the years, NHI has cultivated relations with a significant number of universities, mostly private, as reference possibilities when selecting their preferences. As members of NHI’s College Register, these institutions are located throughout the U.S. and usually attend NHI college fairs and admission workshops that give them one-on-one communication with NHI students.

On different occasions some of these institutions go a step further. They realize the importance of placing young minds in environments that excite the possibilities of college and make higher education real in their lives.

This year,  University of Denver will host the Rocky Mountain CWS.  At the Collegiate World Series, students will come together to be a part of an experience that will benefit their long-term decisions. Such as, how to  improve their presentation skills, as well as delving into complex challenges and applying their knowledge of inquiry based learning.

High School students from urban areas will also enjoy the natural setting of the Rocky Mountain CWS and its surrounding environment.

We look forward to seeing you at Colorado!

About Denver, Colorado

"Urban sophistication meets outdoor adventure in Denver. Get acquainted with The Mile High City, including history, transportation and neighborhood guides. Welcome to Denver where 300 days of sunshine, a thriving cultural scene, diverse neighborhoods and natural beauty combine for the world's most spectacular playground.

Denver is near the mountains, not in them. The Mile High City is located on high rolling plains, 12 miles east of the "foothills," a series of gentle mountains that climb to 11,000 feet. Just beyond is the "Front Range of the Rocky Mountains," a series of formidable snowcapped peaks that rise to 14,000 feet. Denver might not be in the mountains, but the mountains still dominate the city. The picturesque mountain panorama from Denver is 140 miles long. There are 200 visible named peaks including 32 that soar to 13,000 feet and above."  (From Denver.org)

After successfully completing the program, CWSers often reflect on the experience as a space where they felt free to express themselves, their ideas, and honed their skills. They felt culturally embraced, understood, and valued. At the CWS, they began to see themselves as playing a leadership role wherever life would take them, whether at home, in school, in a career, or in service to others. Most of all, they felt special in knowing that leadership is a life-long calling in which they will have a special role to play with NHI.
