The College Register is a membership organization that actively recruits college-eligible high school students who are enrolled in the National Hispanic Institute. NHI students actively engage in leadership training experiences for their self betterment and also maintain strong academic standards. Research shows that NHIers are enrolled in three advanced courses and give as many as 5-6 hours weekly to extracurricular and volunteer activities. NHI students also attend college at a 98% rate and graduate within 4-5 years at a 90% rate. If you are looking for community focused leaders, NHI is the place to find them!

NHI's College Register members are invited to mentor rising juniors through the admissions process, share more about their institution at summer college fairs, and get first hand access to our student database. NHI also seeks to include your assigned representatives in planning meetings that inform our research, prepare presentations for students and parents, and provide guidance to college bound students. Benefits of Membership

To become a College Register member and receive all benefits, institutions submit an annual membership fee of $1,800.

Benefits for 2025 include:

Student databases for 2025 programming year in August 2025 - this will include a list of rising seniors (class of 2026), as well as all program participants for the 2025 program year
Opportunity to coach at the Collegiate World Series (CWS) - 125+ rising seniors attend admissions tournament. Coach a team to the championship! In-person opportunities for coaching during June/July of 2024 (limited spots)
Send students our way! As a member, learn how to identify "diamonds in the rough" and send them to NHI for leadership development programs
Receive a copy of NHI's Report Card, a research document reporting on application and enrollment trends, as well as a profile of our graduating seniors and their college choices
Be published as a College Register member in our website directory
Be listed in NHI's outreach/marketing materials to youth, parents, and schools
Be published as a member in NHI's magazine (online year-round and annual print publication) - www.nhimagazine.com
We tag College Register members in our NHI's Decision Day and Senior Send-Off in May-August, which publicly highlights NHI graduating seniors and their college choices

2022 report card

The National Hispanic Institute is proud to present the 2022 Report Card. This research highlights findings from the high school graduating class of 2022 including matriculation trends, application and admission trends, social media use in general and as relate to the college search and selection process, household income information, language(s) spoken at home, and much more. College Register and NHI host institutions gain early access to this and other research through NHI partnership, and also benefit from an exclusive presentation in late August to cover highlights and early findings.
